  Lovely place and the staff were just excellent. Very friendly and very helpful. I chose the Burger and it arrived with chips and a very colourful salad, including Orange, Lemon, variety of leaves, peppers and believe it or not Strawberries. The "home made" dressing along with the drizzle of Balsamic was superb. The burger, a little pink in the middle, was with no doubt at all the best burger I have ever eaten. Tender, juicy and very more ish, topped with bacon and cheese. My wife had the lovely roast ham and thought the side salad was half a garden :-) Minor disappointment with the chips, appeared to have been hanging around a while but both meals overall were brilliant and good value for money. Did I mention the beer! Whitby Whaler, mmmmmmmm more please :-)

  Loved it. Couple of real ales, great food, wood burning stove and the guy behind the bar was reet friendly.
